A little something 'bout "Twig"


Welcome to my information booth.
I'll try to keep this short and sweet
for our moments spent on the net should be both fun and intriguing.

I was born in Denton, Texas on March 4,1962.
On Dec. 22, 1977 I had my only son, Casey.
I graduated high school and Beauty college in 1980.
My husband Ronnie and I married on Feb. 6, 1981.
As our two families became one,
I acquired a stepdaughter, Jennifer and a stepson, Jeff.
Through Jeff and his family we now have the joy of 2 granddaughters.
Yes, I am a Mimi and enjoy every precious moment with those little babes.
In the summer of 1997 I acquired another precious gift.
My niece of 15 years came to stay with me and
has been another joy in my life. I refer to her as "my little doll".

I have been a lot of places and done a lot of things, but the one challenge in my life
which I will never forget, was presiding over the town of
Oak Ridge, Texas as Mayor for a 3 year term.
Since then I have taken up another consistent challenge, "Golf".
I now reside on Beautiful Lake Kiowa in North Texas.
Of course there is a golf course here, which I enjoy taking advantage of consistently.
I have met a lot of friends playing golf and it is a sport that I recommend to everyone.

Another place I have met a lot of friends is on the internet through IRC.
I even have my own "chatroom" where
I visit with family and friends on a regular basis.

My career of course is in Hair.
I own my hair salon in Downtown Gainesville,
CREATIVE HAIR DESIGNS.
I have been in this business since 1980
and have found it to be very rewarding.

Other hobbies and activities I enjoy include
listening to good music, gardening, canning,
crafts, fishing and games like darts and horseshoes.
I also enjoy most water sports and love to entertain friends.
I have been a collector of a lot of different things all my life.
My current interests are Beanie Babies and Golf towels from around the world.
